Notes: Plant type: native American deciduous perennial/shrub Height x width:3 to 8 feet tall Growth habit: Upright, multi-stemmed Foliage: Alternate, lanceolate to broad ovate, some with shallow lobes, toothed, softly hairy beneath, up to 8 inches long Flowers: Single, 4 to 8 inches wide, borne in axils and carried on un-branched stems in summer and fall. Colors include white, pink and red, as well as bi-colors. Some have deeper throat colors. Culture: Full sun or partial shade in fertile soils. Will tolerate or even thrive in moist soils.
