I love Zebra Grass... I have two in my yard for several years now. Both are up this spring as expected but both have very little stripping that makes this plant unique Will it show up later Should I fertilize How do I get back the stripe Both planting areas are getting mostly sun with some light shade during mid day... no standing water though we are at sea level about 60 miles inland in Zone 7-8... sandy soil for the most part... Thanks

Notes:
Height x width: 3 to 7 feet tall and 3 feet wide
Growth habit: Upright clump
Foliage: Basal, flat, 3 to 4 feet long, ˝ inch wide, tapered, sharp margins
Flowers: In fall, loose terminal panicle 8 to 10 inches long of pale pink to reddish flowers. These remain showy all winter
Culture: Full sun is best; will tolerate some partial shade
Pests and problems: Rust, especially without good air circulation
Uses: Specimen, massed, screen, dried flowers
Propagation: Division in spring
Cultivars:
'Adagio' – silver-gray foliage and pink to white blooms; 4 feet tall with 2 foot spread
‘Zebrinus’ – 6 to 7 feet tall with horizontal yellow bands on the leaves
'Gracillimus' – 5 to 7 feet tall with fine, narrow silver foliage and copper-colored flowers
'Morning Light' – 4 to 5 feet tall, with a narrow strip of light on the leaf margin Reddish-bronze flowers in late fall
