Size Description:
Notes: Growth habit: Upright Foliage: Alternate, ovate or ovate-lanceolate, glabrous with glaucous-blue lower surfaces, short petioles, dentate leaf margins, 1 to 3 inches long Flowers: Buds are balloon-shaped and can be popped when squeezed. Flowers are blue, white or pink, saucer-shaped, 2 to 3 inches in diameter, on long peduncles, in July and August Culture: Full sun and well-drained soil Uses: Border, rock garden, cut flower (sear ends of stems with a flame before placing them in water) Propagation: Seed, division Notes courtesy of Sue Trusty.
