From Question and Answer Forums: What are others saying about this plant?
I am trying to find a garden center / nursery in the cincinnati area that sells a Carpinus caroliniana american hornbeam. So far all I have found are columnar european hornbeam I cant find Carpinus caroliniana. Do you know who grows them
I have also been looking for Carpinus caroliniana in cincinnati, and have not found anything. I have talked with most of the local nurseries and native propagators, but they have not gotten to them yet. The quickest and cheapest option here is to wait till fall and harvest some seeds. I plan on starting some in pots and putting some seeds directly out where I want them. See which works best. Goodluck
