Size Description:
Notes: Height x width 0.5 to 1.5 feet tall and 2 feet wide.
Growth habit: Spreading and sprawling clumps Foliage: Furry, oval, opposite, silvery-gray, entire leaves up to 4 to 8 inches long that grow in basal clumps and along the squarish stems Flowers: Furry silver stalks with pink or lavender flower spikes, about 2 feet tall. Blooms in the spring. As flower spikes age, they give the plant an untidy appearance and should be removed Culture: Full sun and well-drained soil. Plants can develop rot if the plant is grown in wet soils Trim back in spring, and groom frequently to remove old or dead leaves. Divide often to control size of clumps Uses: Border plant, groundcover. Flowers are sometimes dried and used in wreaths or arrangements Propagation: Division, seed
