Notes:
Growth habit: Upright
Foliage: Rounded, slightly-lobed leaves about 3 to 4 inches in diameter, often zones, sometimes golden or variegated
Flowers: Rounded heads of single or double flowers in shades of pink, orange, red, purple and white
Culture: Full sun, warm temperatures. Deadhead regularly for repeat bloom. Pinch out growing tips of young plants to encourage bushy growth
Pests and problems: Geraniums are susceptible to a number of diseases, especially Xanthomonas bacterial blight
Uses: The most popular bedding plant in U.S, Geraniums are commonly sold as bedding plants in spring, but are also used in brightly-lit areas indoors and in hanging baskets.
Propagation: Cuttings, seed
Related species: include P. peltatum (Regal or Martha Washington) hybrids, and various scented-leaf Pelargoniums
